Thirty One Jammu & Kashmir Police personnel will soon be part of the Indian Police Service (IPS) as induction has green signaled by high-level panel, CTN reported.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the J&K government, the Union Public Service Commission, the Union Home Ministry, including Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta, Home Secretary Raj Kumar Goyal, and Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh.
The panel cleared names of Maqsood ul Zaman, Mubassir Latifi, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Suhail Munawar Mir, Rashmi Wazir, Rajeshwar Singh, Sandeep Wazir, Anita Sharma, Sameer Rekhi, Jatinder Singh Johar, Swarn Singh Kotwal, Zahid Nasim Manhas, Dr. Koshal Kumar Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Showkat Ahmed Dar, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Bakar Hussain Samoon, Firdous Iqbal, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, Ranjit Singh Samyal, Mohd Yaseen Kichloo, Rajinder Gupta, Rajesh Sharma,Sanjeev Khajuria, Rajesh Bali, Zubair Ahmed Khan, Sanjay Kumar Kotwal, Mumtaz Ahmed and Mohd Aslam for the induction into IPS cadre, Cross Town News reported quoting Sources.
Panel also cleared two retired police officers Anil Magotra and Parshotam Kumar Sharma for promotion in IPS.
Two posts have been reserved for RK Bhat and Manohar Singh,but will drowned on getting clean chit in inquiries.
Sources said that MHA will take final calm on batches and whereas the Officers will get AGMUT cadre , and after mandatory training program can be posted outside J&K, atleast few of them.
