According to News agency-Current News of India (CNI) , while talking to the media in Jammu, Bhartiya Janata Party’s (BJP) National General Secretary and Jammu and Kashmir in-charge Tarun Chugh said that the holding of the G20 meeting at the global level in Kashmir is welcome and is a sign of peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir, ‘Jammu and Kashmir’ where curfew used to be, is now peaceful, Kashmir was once known for violence and militancy, but instead of violence and militancy, now tourism is being promoted and Kashmir has turned into a tourism capital, he added.
He further said that the peace in Jammu and Kashmir is now evident on the ground level and some people are not happy with it who are still engaged in efforts to disrupt the peace and are trying to disrupt the peace through various pretexts and I want to ask these people why they don’t want peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
In response to a question, Chugh said that our policy of zero tolerance against militancy is clear and no compromise can be made on it, so the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and other agencies have started action to eradicate militancy and it will continue. (CNI)
