If there is an attempt to interfere with elections Plan B will be executed

Bandipora|| (CNI) The J&K UT’s chief election officer (CEO) PK Pole on Sunday said that he is hopeful no election interference will take place from across the border.

 

Pole who was attending a program under sveep in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, told reporters that they are hopeful this year around the elections in border areas will be conducted peacefuly due to prevailing ceasefire from five years now.

 

He said incase, “there is any attempt from across the border to interfere with the elections for that the election commission has already a plan B in place and elections will still be conducted.”

 

Pole added for Gurez, if Razdan Top is closed due to inclement weather, Indian Airforce will be roped in to lift the poling parties, EVM’s and other poling material.

 

Pole said the voter turnout in Gurez and Bandipora constituencies was good and hoped that Bandipora constituency people will also turn in numbers this time to cast their ballot.

 

PK pole attended Mega event at Wullar Vintage under to aware general public particularly first time voters and to catch the attention of every citizen for upcoming election’s under the banner of SVEEP On the ocassion colourful event was presented by CRPF , Local artists , and school children’s to educate and inspire active participation in the democracy process.

 

The CEO emphasized for conducting innovative activities under SVEEP to ensure that every eligible voter is empowered to exercise his franchise.

 

Later he also conducted a comprehensive review of preparations being put in place in Bandipora district for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

The purpose of the visit was also to assess readiness of the district administration for the electoral process.(CNI)
