Delhi, 11 May (CNI) : Pakistan’s Supreme Court has ruled that Ex. Prime minister Imran Khan’s dramatic arrest on corruption charges this week was illegal and ordered immediate release.

The court ordered Imran Khan’s immediate release.His lawyers had argued that his detention from court premises in Islamabad on Tuesday was unlawful.

Pakistan’s Supreme Court has ordered that Imran Khan be immediately released after the former prime minister was arrested by the country’s anti-corruption agency.

The three-member bench of the court declared Khan’s arrest illegal, providing a major relief for the chairman of the Tehreek-e-Insaf party.

Meanwhile imran Khan’s shock arrest has triggered violent protests across the country, prompting the government to call out the army to help restore order order. (CNI)
