Infiltration Attempt Foiled, Intruder Killed In Pathankot Sector: BSF

Border Security Force has claimed to have killed a Pakistani infiltrator on the international border in the Pathankot sector of Punjab along line of control – LOC.

According to the details received by CNI in this regard, a Pakistani infiltrator has been shot dead along the international border in Pathankot district of Punjab.

A BSF spokesperson confirmed this and said that Border Security Force troops saw some suspicious activity near Sambal Sakol village in Pathankot.

Sensing the threat, the BSF opened fire, killing the intruder on the spot, the official said. He said that repeated attempts were being made by Pakistan to push the infiltrators across the border, but the infiltrators were unable to cross the border.

Earlier on August 11, BSF troops had killed a Pakistani infiltrator along the international border in Tarn Taran district, he said.

BSF spokesperson said that BSF is always alert to protect the borders and any attempt will not be allowed to succeed.(CNI)
