Rainfall expected in Jammu division over next four days, isolated heavy rain forecasted for the Kashmir division
Srinagar, CNI: On a sunny day in Srinagar city, the Meteorological Centre has issued an urgent weather advisory, warning of heavy rains and potential flash floods across Jammu and Kashmir over the next ten days.
As per news agency Current News of India (CNI) the forecast indicates that the region will experience a series of weather events starting today, with scattered rain and thundershowers expected in the Kashmir Division and light to moderate rain in the Jammu Division. The intensity of these weather conditions is predicted to increase over the coming days. Between August 3rd and 4th, intermittent light to moderate rain will affect many areas in the Kashmir Division.
Similarly, most parts of the Jammu Division will experience comparable conditions. From August 5th to 7th, the weather is expected to bring scattered rain to Kashmir and widespread rain to Jammu. The advisory extends to August 8th to 11th, during which both divisions can expect scattered rain and thundershowers.
Lastly, residents are advised to remain vigilant due to the risk of flash floods, cloudbursts, landslides, and falling stones, particularly in vulnerable areas. Heavy rainfall is anticipated in the Jammu Division over the next four days, with isolated heavy rain forecasted for the Kashmir Division on August 3rd and 4th. CNI
