Bandipora, Mar 24:- The residents of Kanzalwan village in Gurez valley of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district demanded early release of rent of their lands which was not released for the last four years.
Local residents while speaking with the media said that after the abrogation of 370 the land owners have not received their rent of their land taken by the army.
“We are farmers, we earn our livelihood from our lands. It was taken by the army decades ago, until 2019 we continuously received rent but from 2019 we have not received any rent yet,” locals added.
He also said that the delay in releasing rent of their lands is now taking a toll on their families which forced them to raise their voices in the media now.
Residents appealed LG Manoj Sinha, district Administration Bandipora to look into the matter to resolve their genuine grievances.CNI
