Says, very few have remained who understand the pain of J&K:Tarigami
Srinagar, CNI: With his eyes welled-up, the CPI(M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami in his faltering voice, while remembering the late Sitaram Yechury, said that Kashmir has lost its sincere friend.
Tarigami, who addressed a press conference a day after the death of CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, shared a few anecdotes related to the deceased leader and said he was very concerned about Kashmir and its people.
While recounting recent conversation with Yechury, Tarigami said that their confab revolved around the situation of Kashmir. “I still remember that Sitaram Yechury and I were the first who gave the press conference in September 2019. The manner in which Yechury gave details about Kashmir’s situation reflected that he feels the pain of Kashmir and knows the depth of it,” Tarigami added.
“I just want to say that Kashmir has lost its very sincere friend. His passing away is not less than a trauma for us and also very few people have remained who understand the pain of J&K,” said Tarigami in his faltering voice.
He said that other leaders should also extend their vision with regard to J&K so that trust could be restored.
“We want to assure people of Kashmir and the country that we will try our best to follow Sitaram Yechury’s roadmap related to politics,” Tarigami added. CNI
