02 FIRs, 02 Persons Arrested, 14 Vehicles Seized & 227 Vehicles Challaned
Kishtwar : In a proactive move to tackle the persistent issue of overloading in passenger vehicles, the Kishtwar Police, under the directions of SSP Kishtwar Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS, initiated a special drive today to curb this menace in the district.
As part of this drive, a total of 02 FIRs have been lodged against violators, and both vehicle drivers have been booked, signaling a zero-tolerance approach towards those compromising the safety of commuters. Additionally, 14 vehicles found in violation of prescribed load limits were seized. Furthermore, 227 vehicles were challaned for violating traffic norms, emphasizing the gravity of the offense and its potential to endanger lives.
