Sanaa: According to regional health officials, lightning strikes have killed seven individuals in Yemen’s Hodeidah governorate in the last 24 hours.
In the Al-Luhayyah and Az-Zuhrah districts in the northern section of the province, seven women and one man were killed.

According to the Xinhua news agency, this catastrophe is the most recent in a string of like ones that have been reported around the nation this rainy season.
Residents in several provinces, including Hodeidah, received a warning from Yemen’s National Centre of Meteorology about thunderstorms, torrential rain, and flooding.

According to a recent UN assessment, climate change-related natural disasters have made the humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen’s war-torn nation worse. Extreme weather events have also damaged Yemen’s frail infrastructures and increased the country’s food and livelihood instability.
