Jammu, March 27 (CNI): The last date for filing nomination papers for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections ends today as seven candidates have filed their nomination papers for the Udhampur-Doda seat so far.
Elections to 102 Lok Sabha seats in 17 states and four Union Territories will be held in the first phase on April 19 in the Udhampur seat.
According to the news agency Current News of India CNI, till now there are seven candidates including BJP Union Minister Dr. Jitender Singh and former minister of Democratic Progressive Azad Party, GM Sarwari. Congress candidate Chaudhary Lal Singh will file nomination papers today.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held tomorrow and last date for withdrawal of candidature is March 30—(CNI)
