Bandipora, 15 June (CNI) : A 3-year-old girl died after drowning in an irrigation canal in Anikhol Sumbal village in North Kashmir’s Bandipora District.
Reports reaching News-agency Current News of India (CNI) that a girl identified as Janat Zehra D/O Javid Ahmed dar of Odina Sumbal drowned in an irrigation canal.
The locals after listening to the screams launched a rescue operation and shifted her to nearby healthcare facility centre.However, doctors present there declared her dead on arrival.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident and started further investigation in this regard. (CNI)
