Mohammad Altaf Dar for Regular Safety Checks at Food Businesses to Protect Public Health

Srinagar, CNI: Socio-political activist and senior trade union leader Mohammad Altaf Dar has called for immediate and regular safety inspections of all food businesses, including roadside stalls, street vendors, and milk vendors, across Jammu and Kashmir. Altaf Dar emphasized the urgent need to uphold public health and safety standards to protect citizens from potential health hazards.

 

“Ensuring the safety and quality of food sold to the public is crucial,” Dar stated, as per news agency Current News of India (CNI) “We must implement regular checks to maintain hygiene standards and prevent foodborne illnesses, he said. It is essential for authorities to take action, monitor compliance, and ensure that all vendors and food businesses are held accountable.”

 

Mohammad Altaf Dar urged the concerned departments to collaborate with local authorities to conduct these inspections and promote a culture of safety and transparency in the food sector. He reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for public health and ensuring the well-being of all residents. CNI
