September 17 2023, CNI News: Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam announced on Saturday night that the third month of the Islamic (lunar) calendar, Rabi-ul-Awwal, was not sighted anywhere in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to CNI, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam said that no reports of sightings of the Rabi ul Awwal crescent had been received from Jammu and Kashmir as of September 16, 2023.
Additionally, he stated that Rabi-ul-Awwal will begin on September 17, 2023.
Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam also said that the date of Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be Friday, September 29, 2023.
