NC-Congress committed to serve people of J&K Rampaul appeals for strengthening alliance to form govt

Jammu, CNI: Intensifying the campaign in support of coalition candidate in the Jammu east Assembly segment, former minister and Zonal President JKNC Babu Rampaul convened a meeting of prominent NC workers of different areas to mobilize support for NC-Congress joint candidate Yogesh Sawhney, who was also present in the meeting.

 

Prominent NC workers from Ward no 1, 3,5, 8, 9, 16, 17 and Ward no. 18 attended the meeting and assured full support to coalition candidate Yogesh Sawhney. The meeting was organized by Zonal Secretary and Coordinator Jammu District JKNC, Dr Vikas Sharma.

 

As per news agency Current News of India (CNI), addressing a meeting, Rampaul said, “Core pillars of our manifesto, focuses on Social Progress, Women’s Welfare, and Empowerment. Our vision for Jammu and Kashmir revolves around creating a society that prioritizes inclusivity, equal opportunity, and social justice for all, particularly the marginalized sections and women.”

 

Elaborating on election promises for women and other marginalized sections, he said that they were pledged to provide financial security by offering ₹5000 per month to female heads of economically weaker sections (EWS) households which he said would ensure stability for families who rely on women for leadership and support.

 

Outlining some of the party’s key initiatives, he mentioned that the NC is committed to raise old age pensions from Rs 1000 to Rs 3000, increase financial assistance for girls marriages to Rs 75,000 from 50,000 of EWS, provide 12 LPG cylinders per family per year of EWS, Provide free 200 units power, free drinking water, Provide free travel of females in govt transport, legalize MSP for farmers and Provide 10 Kg rice per person per month free of cost.

 

He emphasized that the party will continue to focus on improving the quality of life for every citizen and introduce more welfare schemes aimed at uplifting the marginalized sections of society. He stated that by promising regularization, the JKNC is directly addressing the concerns of temporary employees and their families. The implications of such a policy are far-reaching.

 

Babu Rampaul also emphasized safeguarding land laws and employment rights, emphasizing the need to review all decisions made without the approval of the people.

 

“By promising to protect land laws and employment rights, the JKNC is directly addressing the concerns of local residents, who have been feeling marginalized and disenfranchised,” he added.

 

He said, “NC has committed to providing one lakh jobs for the youth across various sectors. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce unemployment and provide much-needed opportunities for the younger population.”

 

He further said that within the first three months of taking office, the government will pass the Jammu and Kashmir Youth Employment Generation Act. This legislation will focus on creating sustainable employment opportunities and is seen as a major step toward securing the future of the region’s youth, he added.

 

In a move to ensure efficient governance, the NC government would fill all vacancies in government departments within 180 days. Additionally, policies will be introduced to ensure that future vacancies are filled promptly, reducing delays and improving the delivery of public services, he elaborated.

 

The Zonal President called on the people of Jammu east to vote and support for Yogesh Sawhney in the upcoming elections to restore genuine development, peace, and prosperity to the region.

 

Former Minister and coalition candidate for Jammu East Assembly seat, Yogesh Sawhney said that victory of coalition candidates was a must to establish a stable and pro-people government in Jammu and Kashmir.

 

He said that after the formation of the alliance in J&K, workers of Congress and National Conference are working jointly to ensure victory of coalition candidates.

 

Chander Mohan Sharma, President Jammu District Urban JKNC and Satpaul Shabotra Zonal Treasure JKNC also spoke on the occasion.
