A most wanted and notorious drug smuggler of Bandi Payeen Chandoosa was arrested on Saturday with 400 grams of contraband Charas like substance during naka checking at Daru Chandoosa.
As per the statement, Police under the supervision of Sh Khalid Ashraf-JKPS, SDPO Kreeri assisted by Inspr Nisar Ahmad SHO PS Chandoosa arrested Drug smuggler namely Bilal Ahmad Rather S/O Gh Mohiuddin Rather R/O Bandi Payeen Chandoosa during naka checking at Daru Chandoosa who was coming towards Daru Chandoosa and after noticing the police party tried to flee away but was apprehended tactfully and was taken into custody immediately.
During search 400 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from his possession.
Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Chandoosa and investigations set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.(CNI)
