JAMMU: (CNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has freed Jammu and Kashmir from the clutches of Article 370, terrorism and separatism, which is the biggest achievement of the BJP-led government, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said on Saturday.

Referring to the surgical strikes in response to the September 2016 Uri terror attack in which 18 soldiers were killed, he said, “The previous government would have done nothing but our government went there and carried out surgical strikes.” And the IAF carried out an airstrike inside Pakistan following a terrorist attack on a CRPF convoy in February 2019 that killed 40 personnel.

 

The Minister said that the Center has ensured the flow of ‘Vikas Ki Ganga’ across Jammu and Kashmir where work on railway line and new highways is going on at a fast pace besides setting up All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Meanwhile, Kishor appealed to the people for his support, saying that the country, including Jammu and Kashmir, was “moving rapidly on the path of development” under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.

Polling in the second phase of Jammu Lok Sabha constituency is being held on April 26. The last date for filing nomination papers is April 4 and the last date for withdrawing candidature is April 8.
