DODA (CNI) : To strengthen farmers across the country, the Government of India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has provided significant financial support through the PM Kisan scheme. On June 18, the Prime Minister released the 17th installment under this scheme. The release event was webcast live, and a webinar program was organized at the Chief Agriculture Office complex in Doda.
More than 40 farmers attended the live event at the Doda complex. The program was graced by the presence of Chief Agriculture Officer Doda, Anil Kumar Gupta, and District Agriculture Officer (Extension) Doda. Farmers from the zones of Udianpur, Ghat, and Bhagwah, along with agriculture officers, were present at the event, reflecting the widespread interest and participation in the scheme.
The PM Kisan scheme, which aims to provide direct financial support to farmers, will disburse funds through direct bank transfers. Over 9.26 crore farmers have registered for the scheme, and they are set to receive benefits amounting to over ₹20,000 crore. The initiative is a testament to the government’s commitment to uplifting the agricultural sector and ensuring the welfare of farmers across India.(CNI)
