Police Arrest 343 Drug Peddlers, Registered 213 Under NDPS Act, Attaches Property Worth 2.1 Crores during Current year in Baramulla

Baramulla, 01 Sep (CNI) : Baramulla police in its ongoing operation against drug peddling, has registered 213 cases under NDPS Act and arrested 343 drug peddlers & attached property of drug smugglers worth Crores during the current year.

As per the statement issued here to News-agency Current News of India, reads that 343 drug smugglers including 80 most wanted drug smugglers, have been booked under NDPS Act whileas 54 habitual drug peddlers have been booked under PIT- NDPS/PSA. Police has recovered contraband worth Crores (value of contraband in black market).
Besides Baramulla Police has attached properties worth 2.1 Crores lacs of drug smugglers which includes 3 houses, 3 vehicles & cash to the tune of Rs.1.2 Crores in Pattan, Kreeri, Nambla & Kamalkote.

Moreover SAFEM (FOP) A & NDPSA, New Delhi confirmed attachment of property (Illegal acquired property by Drug Smugglers) orders of Baramulla Police at Pattan & Kreeri in which house and vehicle was attached.

Baramulla Police is committed to act tough against the drug smugglers and with regard to attachment of moveable/ immovable property which has been raised/ used for Illicit Trafficking by the drug smugglers in the district.

General People of the district are requested to come forward with the information of drug peddlers in their areas (identify will be kept confidential) in order to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of strong Police Public relationship, the statement reads.
