Police Arrest Drug Peddler at Magraypora Pattan

Pattan, 09 April (CNI) : Pattan Police arrested a drug peddler with contraband Brown Sugar like substance at Magraypora Pattan area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official told CNI that Continuing its efforts to curb drug menace from the society, Pattan Police on Friday arrested a drug peddler with contraband substance.
As per the statement, a copy of which lies with News-agency Current News of India (CNI) reads that Police under the supervision of SDPO Pattan, Mohammad Nawaz-JKPS, assisted by PSI Rayees Ahmad, IC PP Wussan arrested a drug Peddler during naka checking at Magraypora Wussan, who were coming from Naidkhai towards Hamray and upon seeing the naka party tried to flee from the naka but were apprehended tactfully.

During their personal search 15 grams of contraband Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from them and were taken into custody immediately.

The Drug peddler was identified as
identified as Zulkarnain Mir S/O Abdul Ahad Mir R/O Shumnag Kupwara.
Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Pattan and investigations set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.(CNI)
