Police destroy Wild Cannabis in Uri Baramulla

Baramulla, 05 July (CNI): Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, police in Baramulla have destroyed wild Cannabis spread over 1 Kanal of Land at Main Market Uri & Bandi Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

A police party consisting of personnel from Police Station Uri led by SHO PS Uri Inspr Mohd Shafi alongwith Executive Magistrate of Revenue department, Excise Department & Agriculture department under the overall supervision of Sh. Shokat Ali-JKPS, SDPO Uri reached the spots and destroyed the Wild Cannabis on fields measuring approx about 1 Kanal of land.

General people of Uri Town hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and has joined the destruction of Wild Cannabis at the locations.

“The general public is requested to extend cooperation to the police and come forward with any information regarding any kind of anti-social activity in their neighbourhood,” police said.(CNI)
