On Sunday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police claimed to have taken former militants and separatists to the Srinagar police station.
According to reports, the people who were detained had planned a meeting at a hotel in Srinagar.
Srinagar Police in a tweet said that “A Search was undertaken based on reliable information regarding a meeting of certain former JKLF members and former separatists in a Srinagar hotel.They were taken to Kothibagh PS for verification,
In the tweet, it is said further that “Inquiry has started, prima facie it came out that they were planning to revive JKLF & hurriyat.”
However, the number of detainees was not clarified.
