Shopian, 30 Aug (CNI): Shopian Police joined KP’s in the annual Kapal Mochan Shrad(Pooja),at Devpora Nagbal Temple,nestled on the banks of Rambiara nallah Shopian.
As per the news agency-Current News of India, SSP Shopian Tanushree (IPS) along with DySP Hqrs Shopian Javed Ahmad paid obeisance at Tirth Raj Kapal Mochan, the oldest Shiva temple nestled on the banks of Rambiara Nallah in the district and joined the Kashmiri Pandits in their annual Kapal Mochan Shradh. This revered site holds immense importance as thousands of Kashmiri Pandits annually flock here for religious observances, including Shraad ceremonies.
During the visit, the police officers engaged with the devoted Pandits at the temple, sharing prayers for the peace and prosperity of Shopian in particular and the entire valley in general. The visiting Pandits expressed deep gratitude and joy, praising the police for facilitating their pilgrimage and providing essential support.
The devotees after interacting with police officers said that during the yatra, Muslim neighbours provided them milk, vegetables and other eatables. They hailed the Shopian Police, especially the efforts of SSP Shopian, for having made extraordinary arrangements of security, support and love for the smooth conduct of the yatra.(CNI)
