CNI News New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his 73rd birthday on Sunday, and President Droupadi Murmu, among other dignitaries and lawmakers, sent him birthday greetings.

To commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday, the BJP will also introduce “Sewa Pakhwara” from today through October 2 in an effort to engage various facets of society with a variety of social programmes.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah wished PM Modi well and referred to him as “the architect of the new India,” saying he has set a firm foundation for a big and self-sufficient India based on our country’s ancient legacy.

“Modi ji, the architect of the new India, has worked to lay the strong foundation of a grand and self-reliant India on the basis of the ancient heritage of our country. Be it an organization or a government, we all always get inspiration from Modi ji that ‘national interest comes first’. It is a privilege for me to get the opportunity to serve the country under the guidance of such a unique leader,” Amit Shah posted on ‘X’ in Hindi.

In his best wishes, BJP president J P Nadda stated that the prime minister had given the advancement of the country, the multifaceted growth of the people, and the prestige of Indian culture a physical form.
The prime minister himself will be part of the launch of several development initiatives on his birthday.

On Sunday, which also happens to be “Vishwakarma Jayanti,” Modi will introduce his government’s ambitious programme, “PM Vishwakarma,” which aims to support traditional skill practitioners like artisans and craftsmen.
The majority of people who work in these traditional occupations are from Other Backward Classes, hence the Rs 13,000 crore programme is also considered as the BJP’s outreach to this politically significant group.

The Delhi Airport Metro Express line expansion from Dwarka Sector 21 to a new metro station at Dwarka Sector 25 as well as the first phase of the India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC), both in Dwarka, are slated to be officially opened by Prime Minister on Sunday.
