According to CNI, heavy rain has created havoc in Himachal Pradesh. 74 people have died in the last four days due to rain, floods and landslides in the state. The state government has suffered a loss of over Rs 7700 crore due to rain.

Many districts are badly affected by heavy rains and landslides. In view of the continuous rains and landslides in Himachal Pradesh, the NDRF team is constantly on alert. They are engaged in relief work.

Since June till now, more than 330 people have died due to natural calamities in the state. In fact, it has been raining continuously for the past few days in Himachal Pradesh. Due to this, the incidence of landslides has increased significantly.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has said that heavy to very heavy rain may occur in the state from today for the next three days. For this IMD has issued yellow alert for 10 districts of Himachal.

The dire state of the state can be gauged from the fact that on August 18, 65 houses collapsed and 271 others were damaged in Himachal. Currently, 875 roads are closed and many villages are without electricity.

According to a report, there is currently a threat like Joshi Mutt in Himachal Pradesh. There is a risk of landslides in 17 thousand places in the state. 1357 of these places are in Shimla alone.

Due to the heavy rains, the soil is constantly swelling, due to which roads and houses are sinking. In the month of January this year in Joshi Mutt of Uttarakhand, people had to be displaced due to cracks in houses, roads and hotels and till now people are forced to stay in comfort camps as refugees. Some similar situations are being seen in Shimla as well. (CNI)
