Rajouri, 06 May (CNI) : One militant killed and another was likely injured in an ongoing Encounter at Kesari Kandi belt in Rajouri district on Saturday.
Official sources told News-agency Current News of India (CNI) that the ongoing joint operation with Jammu and Kashmir & Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) , at approx 0700 hours the cordon while closing in spotted & pinned down the terrorists.
In the ensuing gunbattle 1 terrorist has been neutralised & 1 more is likely to be injured.
He further said that Recoveries made so far include 1 AK56, 4 Mags of AK, 56 rounds of AK, 1 x 9mm Pistol with Mag, 3 grenades & 1 ammunition Pouch. Identity of the neutralised terrorist is being ascertained.
Northern Command informed through a tweet that Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi at Ground Zero, reviewing the operational situation on the ongoing operations at Kandi #Rajouri where contact was re-established with militants.He was briefed on all aspects of the operations by ground commanders.

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh along with Army Chief Gen Manoj Pande is visiting Jammu to review the security situation in the Jammu sector. (CNI)
