Bandipora, Oct 06: Gurez Valley’s Razdan Pass, a vital link between Bandipora and Gurez, received its first snowfall of the season on Sunday morning, Approximately one inch of snow accumulation blanketed the scenic route, transforming the area into a picturesque winter wonderland.
An official stated that despite the snowfall, the Bandipora-Gurez road remains open for traffic, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity between the two regions. Authorities assured that the road has been cleared and is safe for travel. However, motorists are advised to exercise caution as more snowfall is expected, which may impact road conditions in the coming days.
According to independent weather forecasts, October 7 and 8 are predicted to be mostly dry, with a slight possibility of brief showers in some areas. From October 9 to 10, mostly dry conditions are expected, although there is a 50% chance of short rain spells in certain locations.
“From October 11 to 14, the forecast indicates continued dry weather,” the official added.
