RED DROP, a unit of blood donors under the registered NGO KASHMIR CONCERN, organized a highly
successful blood donation camp today at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Langate. The event was conducted in association with Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla and witnessed the participation of numerous dignitaries,
volunteers, and donors. The camp was graced by the presence of Tehsildar Langate, Tehsildar Karlkund, CMO Kupwara, DDC Marwar, SDPO Langate, DO Langate, and other esteemed officials, who lauded the initiative for its noble cause and community impact. Dr. Touseef
Ahmed, Chairman of RED DROP, expressed his gratitude to all the participants and organizers. He highlighted the significant contribution of Bilkees Ara, President of RED DROP, describing
her as an epitome of women’s blood donation in Kashmir. Dr. Ahmed commended her efforts in encouraging female donors, many of whom participated enthusiastically in the camp. Shabir Hussain Khan, famously known as the “Blood Man of Jammu and Kashmir,” alongside Kaiser
Kawa and other dedicated volunteers, played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the camp. Their relentless efforts and commitment to the cause were instrumental in making the event a resounding success.
The camp saw an overwhelming response, with more than 70 pints of blood donated. This contribution will go a long way in addressing the critical need for blood in the region and saving countless lives.
RED DROP and KASHMIR CONCERN extend their heartfelt thanks to GMC Baramulla, SDH Langate, and all the volunteers, donors, and officials who made this event possible. The organizations
remain committed to organizing such life-saving initiatives in the future and urge the community to continue supporting these noble causes.
