Jammu 25 April : Kashmiri Pandit community Requests to Sh.Vijay Kumar BidhuriJi( IAS ) Hourable Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Union territory of Jammu & Kashmir for the removal of temporary toilets installed within the sacred premises of the Sheetal Nath Temple, Sringar, Kashmir, by local Administration, which is an act which has deeply perturbed the sentiments of the Kashmiri Pandit community
We approach your goodself with utmost respect and concern regarding a matter of great significance concerning the esteemed Shital Nath Temple Complex. It has come to our attention that certain departments of the government have installed temporary toilets within the sacred premises of the ,Sheetal Nath temple, Srinagar which has deeply perturbed the sentiments of the Kashmiri Pandit community.
Sir, the Shital Nath Temple Complex holds profound historical and religious significance not only within our community but also globally. Therefore, the placement of such facilities within its premises is not only disrespectful but also deeply distressing. This action undermines the sanctity and reverence associated with the temple.
Sir, what exacerbates this situation is the lack of consultation with the temple management prior to the installation of these facilities. Such disregard for the sentiments and opinions of those responsible for the upkeep and sanctity of the temple reflects a concerning disregard for protocol and respect for religious institutions.
In light of these distressing developments, I humbly implore your esteemed self to intervene in this matter and direct the concerned authorities to address it with the urgency and sensitivity it demands. It is imperative that these temporary toilets be promptly removed from the premises of the Shital Nath Temple Complex to restore the sanctity and dignity befitting such a revered place of worship.
