Request for urgent allotment of Quarters to PM Package Employees in Kashmir Valley

Share News

Jammu : We are bring to your kind attention the critical situation faced by the PM Package employees in Kashmir Valley, in respect of their lack and inadequate housing arrangements who are already grappling with other issue and problems in the valley.

As their well-wisher, and President of their representative organization Kashmri Pandit Conference ( KPC), ,numerous parents and PM package employees approached us with grave concerns regarding their unsafe and insecure private accommodations currently being endured by them , including a significant number of female employees who are forced to reside in private rented residences due to the unavailability and non – allotment of government quarters. This situation has resulted in a multitude of hardships, primarily centered around feelings of insecurity and unsafe living conditions in these private localities and private rentedaccommodations.

.Sir, the daily commute from these rented accommodations to their respective places of work involves covering significant distances, which not only poses logistical challenges but also exacerbates their sense of vulnerability, especially for female employees who often have to travel with family members for safety reasons. This predicament is further compounded by the slow progress in the completion of government quarters that are either ready or nearing completion in places like Kulangam, ( Handwara), Zawan,( Pantha Chowk,Srinagar) Nutnusu ( Kupwara )and other places.

. It is disheartening to note that despite these quarters being almost ready, delays in finishing touches such as boundary walls persist, preventing their immediate allocation to the PM Package employeeswho desperately need them.

Sir, the current working pace of the contractors involved in these projects appears to be lax, with insufficient oversight and accountability from the administration’s side to expedite the completion of these essential housing facilities. This sluggish approach not only prolongs the suffering of the affected employees but also reflects poorly on the commitment to address their welfare needs in a timely manner.

Sir, In light of the above mentioned challenges and the specific vulnerabilities faced by female PM Package employees, we urge you to take decisive and immediate action to resolve this pressing issue. It is imperative that the construction and finishing works on these quarters are accelerated without further delay. The safety, security, and well-being of these employees, particularly the female workforce, must be prioritized by ensuring that adequate and secure government housing is promptly provided to all eligible PM Package employees across the Kashmir Valley.

Sir, we therefore request your urgent intervention to oversee and expedite the completion of these quarters, ensuring that they are swiftly made available to those in need. The time for action is now, and we trust in your commitment to rectify this situation and alleviate the hardships faced by the dedicated PM Package employees in our region.

Thank you sir, for your immediate attention to this matter. We look forward to your prompt and positive response.

Your,s Sincerely,
