Seized Six Kilograms Of Heroin On Border In Gurdaspur Punjab: BSF

Amid increasing drug smuggling on the borders, the BSF has claimed to have seized more than six kilograms of heroin on the international border in Gurdaspur area of Punjab.

According to CNI, the Border Security Force has recovered more than six kilos of heroin and a packet of opium in Dostpur village of Gurdaspur in Punjab.

The BSF spokesperson confirmed this and said that drug smuggling is continuing on the borders and and said efforts are being made by Pakistan to send drugs across the border.

He said that in the latest operation, BSF has seized a huge consignment of drugs on the international border in Punjab.

He said that after receiving a confirmed information, the BSF personnel took action on the border during which they seized the drugs.

He further said that acting on specific information, BSF troops conducted a search operation on Tuesday evening. During which the official said, six packets of heroin weighing 6.30 kg and one packet containing 70 grams of opium were found in a 12-volt battery case.

Such operations are being carried out repeatedly by Pakistan and several attempts were made to thwart it and every operation to supply drugs across the country failed, he said. (CNI)
