Sonawari, Bandipora | CNI NEWS: In a significant initiative aimed at promoting community health and improving access to essential healthcare services, the Shahr-e-Khaas Literary & Cultural Welfare Society and Angel’s Cultural Academy, in collaboration with Al Habib Gousia Model Public School, Gundjahangir, Sonawari, and in partnership with Eye Centre for Sight Fazili Eye Care Centre, Srinagar, organized a free eye screening camp in Sonawari, Bandipora.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community, particularly senior citizens, who availed themselves of free eye examinations, consultations, and professional medical advice.

The initiative was organized with the objective of providing accessible eye-care services to people in need while promoting awareness about the importance of early detection and timely management of vision-related problems.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Tariq Ahmad Shera, President and Founder of both the Shahr-e-Khaas Literary & Cultural Welfare Society and Angel’s Cultural Academy, reaffirmed his commitment to undertaking more welfare initiatives for the community.

“This eye screening camp is just one of the many efforts we are undertaking to improve the well-being of our society. We are dedicated to organizing similar camps in the future for the benefit of our community,” Dr. Shera said.

The camp concluded successfully, with numerous senior citizens and other members of the community benefiting from free eye screenings and expert consultations.

Emphasizing the importance of collective action, Dr. Shera said:

At the conclusion of the camp, Dr. Tariq Ahmad Shera distributed Certificates of Appreciation among the doctors, school management, volunteers, and other individuals who contributed to the successful organization of the eye screening camp. He expressed his gratitude for their valuable support and cooperation in making the initiative a success.
