Baramulla Police on Wednesday said to have solved a theft case by arresting thief and recovered stolen cash of Rs 4500 at Malpora Sheeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police spokesperson said that On 25/07/23 Police Station Sheeri received a written application from one Gh Hassan Rather S/O Mohd Jamal Rather resident of Malpora Sheeri to the effect that on 24/07/2023 while working in his paddy field some thieves have stolen his wallet containing cash Rs 4500/- from his jacket which was kept on tree near to his paddy field.
On receipt of this application case FIR No. 56/2023 U/S 379 IPC was registered in Police Station Sheeri and investigation set into motion.
During course of investigation some suspects were called to the Police Station for questioning, also technical tools were also used to trace out the suspect and finally the name of one namely Sahil Ahmad Wani S/O Ali Mohammad Wani R/O Zoogiyar surfaced out and on his disclosure the stolen cash was recovered from his possession and he was taken into custody immediately in the instant case.(CNI)
