Srinagar, 11 March (CNI): Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday says “smart school is not just a concept but it is a way to change a child’s life”, he said that smart schools have created a trend of students shifting from private institutions to government schools.
According to the Monitoring Desk of Current News of India (CNI), while speaking on the occasion of the virtual inauguration of five smart schools of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority under Gandhi-Nagar Lok Sabha constituency, Home Minister Amit Shah said that the concept of smart schools has been introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the National Education Policy (NEP) which aims at overall development of students starting from primary education level.
“Smart school is not just a concept but it is the way to transform a child’s life”, Appreciating the leadership of the Primary Education Committee of AMC, Amit Shah said that the municipal board has facilitated many schools to become smart schools.
In his virtual address, Shah paid tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji on his birthday and to Savitribai Phule on her death anniversary. Shah appreciated Phule’s contribution to girls’ child education and women’s empowerment at a time when girls were not allowed to step out of their homes, this special day is significant from different perspectives, he adds.
