Pattan 20 March 2023: A well-known social activist and writer Hamid Rather calls on the administration to set up a mobile market in Pattan on Sundays to increase market accessibility and create employment opportunities for locals.
In a statement to the media, Hamid said, ” A mobile market on Sundays (Sunday market) be set up to have a buzz in Pattan town & create employment opportunities for locals.”
“Evening markets should also be created and a pilot can be done during Ramadan. This will add colour to life and make shopping accessible to different social classes at their convenient timings,” he added further.
Hamid said that such markets can be properly planned and all stakeholders be engaged in it. “I want it to be a niche type mobile market rather than a general market to create a brand,” he added.
