Sopore, 24 June (CNI): Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Police Party of Police Station Tarzoo headed by SHO Police Station Tarzoo arrested three drug peddlers at Sangrama Chowk.
Among three the two were walking towards Amargarh and one was walking in their opposite direction in a suspicious manner which was observed by the patrolling party, on seeing the Police they tried to flee but were apprehended by the alert cops along with a nylon bag.
During search of the bag, Heroin like substance was recovered and immediately they were arrested and the case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Tarzoo.
The arrested drug peddler have been identified as Abdul Latief Gojar S/O Noor Muhammad Gojar R/O Gandoo Tehsil and District Doda, Parveen Kaunsar D/O Meer Hussain R/O Sidra Bypass Jammu and Shabnam Begum D/O Muhammad Akbar Khan R/O Akherwani Wulutra Rafiabad.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly as per law.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
