Continuing its zero-tolerance campaign against illegal activities under the South Zone, Jammu Police has successfully thwarted fresh attempts of bovine smuggling and carried out other critical enforcement actions, reaffirming its commitment to public safety and legal enforcement.
- Bovine Smuggling Foiled by PP Narwal – 07 Bovines Rescued
In a major success, the police team of Police Post Narwal intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK21K/1108, which was found transporting 07 bovines illegally. The smuggling attempt was foiled near Narwal, although the driver managed to flee from the spot.
A case has been registered and investigation is underway to trace the absconding accused and dismantle the smuggling network.
- PP Bhatindi – 03 Bovines Rescued, Vehicle Seized, Missing Lady Traced
At Sujwan Naka, Police Post Bhatindi intercepted a TATA Mobile vehicle transporting 03 bovines illegally. The vehicle was seized and an FIR has been registered.
In a parallel action, the Bhatindi Police also traced a missing lady. After completing all legal formalities, she was safely handed over to her sister.
- PP Sainik Colony – Truck with Suspected Stolen Property Seized
Police Post Sainik Colony seized a truck bearing registration number JK02AG 4458, which was loaded with 65 vehicle rims and other materials suspected to have been stolen. The vehicle has been brought to the police post and formally seized under Section 106 BNSS. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source and intended destination of the goods.
- PS Gandhi Nagar – Under routine checks and preventive action: 03 Motor Vehicle Act challans were issued and 01 person was booked under preventive sections to maintain law and order.
- PP Gadigarh initiated 01 preventive action against a habitual offender to curb potential law & order violations.
- PP Greater Kailash – In another preventive policing move, 02 individuals were booked under relevant preventive measures by the Greater Kailash Police.
All these actions have been carried out under the supervision of SSP Jammu, SP City South Jammu, and respective SDPOs, with active ground-level execution by concerned SHOs and Police Post In-charges.
Jammu Police – South Zone reiterates its zero-tolerance policy against crime and urges the public to stay vigilant and continue cooperating by reporting any suspicious or illegal activity. The department remains steadfast in its mission to uphold the rule of law and safeguard public order.
