SSP Traffic RP Singh Conducts Special Drive to Address Traffic Violations In Sumbal Bandipora

Bandipora, 07 May: In a proactive move to tackle traffic violations, the Traffic Police, led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Rural Kashmir Ravinder Pal Singh Besides him DySP Traffic Gulzar Ahamd and other officials conducted a specialized enforcement drive in the Sumbal town area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district district on Tuesday.


SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir Ravinder Pal Singh while speaking to reporters said that a special routine drive was conducted today in Sumbal Bandipora to raise awareness among the public and deter traffic violators.


He further said the drive focused on curbing overloading, overspeeding, lack of helmets, absence of seat belts, and non-possession of valid documents.


The focus on these violations comes amid a recent rise in fatal accidents caused by overspeeding and overloading, during the drive traffic officials issued challans to motorists violating traffic rules.


SSP Traffic urged the public to adhere to traffic laws, especially regarding overloading, overspeeding, helmet usage, and proper documentation.


Singh also warned school bus drivers and owners to adhere to traffic guidelines, he also said that private vehicles operating as school buses will be strictly dealt with.


He also said our efforts are aimed at reducing traffic accidents and ensuring smooth traffic flow in both urban and rural areas.


SSP RP Singh requested parents not allow their children to drive and warned of strict action against the parents whose children would be found involved in any traffic violations.CNI
