Srinagar : Prominent Socio Political Activist And Sr Trade Union Leader Mohammad Altaf Dar (Rajbagh) express his concern over Stray dogs that roam the streets of entire Srinagar’s City areas including Shehri khaas,downtown have made the lives oft citizens miserable. Road accidents and traffic disruptions have become common in the area. Those responsible for running the affairs of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) have clearly failed to deal witht the rising population of stray dogs. Reportedly, about a hundred cases of dog bites are being recorded daily in the city. Besides, the shortage of rabies vaccines in hospitals is a persistent issue in Srinagar City. Mohammad Altaf Dar (Rajbagh) demanded the authorities concerned/smc/district adminstration should develop a pragmatic policy and ensure the safety of the citizens.CNI
