Srinagar, September 11 ( CNI): Today J&K Swimming Association conducted swimming championship in the memory of it’s ex General Secretary Late V K Sawhney( Patil Sir) at ForeShore Road Shalimaar Ghat srinagar in which more than 150 expert swimmers participated.The championship was inaugurated by Rajni kumari Sawhney , the General secretary of the swimming Association.The activity was conducted with full glamour & zeal from all participants.

all the above players where got 1st 2nd & 3rd positions respectively and they were awarded trophies & certificates by S H O police station Harwan Mr Mudasir Ahmad. The other Diganatories who were present on the occasion were Mr Jassm Muzaffar Social activist, Mr Zaid Ul Hassan , Mr Saif Ali , Mr Ajay Sahini Brother of Patil sir, senior citizens & social workers.S H O harwan in his address to participants appreciated them & stressed them to spare some time for sports activities as well in addition to their studies which can keep them fit in all respects.He asked them to desist from drugs & other bad habits which are killing our society & our future generations will have to pay heavy price, if the menance of drugs is not controlled at this stage & requested the parents to fulfill their responsibilities in true spirit.The event culminated in a cordial & friendly atmosphere.The parents requested the association authorities to conduct such events in future also which will boost the morale of our young players. The authorities of the swimming association assured them that such events shall be conducted in all districts & selection of best players shall be made for national events & competitions s.The organisers at the last thanked the guests & participants for making this competition very successful(CNI)
