Traffic Advisory For 9TH & 10 Muharram Procession for Budgam and Baramulla

Motorists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel during Muharram Procession.

Budgam:  (CNI) Traffic Police Office Rural Kashmir issued an advisory in view of Muharram procession at Magam on 9th & 10th Muharram ie. (16th & 17th July-2024), As per advisory, the movement of vehicular traffic along Srinagar-Gulmarg road at town Magam shall remain affected, as such motorists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel on said road during Muharram procession. As per order, a copy of which is laid in the office of Current News of India (CNI), during procession, vehicular traffic shall be diverted through different routes including: Traffic coming from Beerwah shall be diverted via Kanihama Chowk Batapora , Roshanabad and Beerwah. Whereas, traffic coming from Gulmarg shall be diverted via Khumani Chowk towards Lalpora. On the same time Srinagar bound HMVs shall be diverted via Mangloora towards Zangam Baramulla and Srinagar bound LMVs shall be diverted via Chichloora towards Kralpora Magam.

 

Meanwhile in District Baramulla, Murraham procession shall also be taken at Delina, Hanjiveera & Mirgund areas of district Baramulla. Following the Muharram Procession the vehicular traffic along Srinagar-Baramulla road on 9th & 10th Muharram (16th & 17th of July, 2024) shall also remain affected. As such motorists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel along this road also. During Muharram procession the vehicular traffic along Srinagar- Baramulla road shall be diverted through different routes.

During the Muharram Procession at Delina, vehicular traffic both Srinagar bound from Baramulla & Baramulla bound from Srinagar shall be diverted via Sangrama, Kanispora road. For the Muharram Procession, to keep Hanjiveera traffic free, vehicular movement (Srinagar bound as well as Baramulla bound) shall be diverted via Narbal, Hamray, Zangam road. (CNI)
