Srinagar, 11 April (CNI) : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two Militant associates of Lashkar-i-Toiba outfit alongwith Arms/ Ammunition in Pattan Baramulla area.
As per the police statement issued here, a copy of which lies with News-agency Current News of India (CNI) reads that On the basis of reliable information, Joint forces of Baramulla Police, Army 29 RR and 2 Bn SSB have busted a terror module at Baramulla Pattan and arrested two terrorist Associates of LeT outfit who were identified as Farooq Ahmad Parra S/O Gh Ahmad Parra R/O Par Mohalla Pattan and Saima Bashir D/O Bashir Ahmad Mir R/O Chinkipora, Sopore.
On their disclosure following recoveries have been made- Pistol-1, Pistol Magazines-2, Pistol rounds- 5 IED and one remote control IED weighing approximately 2kgs.
During their further questioning, they revealed that duo were working as Terrorist Associate with active terrorist namely Abid Qayoom Lone of Wussan Pattan associated with banned Terrorist organisation LeT outfit.
Case under sections of Arms and ULA (P) Act stands registered in Police station Pattan and investigation set into motion,reads the statement.(CNI)
