Srinagar, 24 Aug (CNI): A two storey shopping complex was gutted in a devastating fire incident in Nowgam area of Srinagar during the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday.
Reports reaching News-agency Current News of India (CNI) that a massive fire broke out in a two storey shopping complex late last night at Nowgam area.
Soon after noticing the flames local neighbours rushed out of their houses and called fire and emergency department.
In the meantime, fire tenders rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames with the help of locals and Jammu and Kashmir Police but couldn’t save the property.
An official said that no loss of human life or injury has been reported in the incident, however the cause of fire was not known immediately . (CNI)
