Sonamarg, CNI: Sonamarg Development Authority (SDA), demolished an under-construction hotel that was coming up illegally in Sonamarg today.

As per news agency Current News of India (CNI), a spokesperson said that the ongoing demolition drive is aimed at preventing unauthorized constructions in the Sonamarg.

The operation, carried out by a team from the Sonamarg Development Authority, is part of a broader effort to ensure compliance with legal and environmental standards in the area.

“The demolition drive seeks to uphold the orders of the High Court, which have placed restrictions on illegal developments in Sonamarg,” the spokesperson said.

The CEO, Sonamarg Development has issued a clear warning urging violators to refrain from violating the High Court’s directives.

The demolition drive is expected to continue, with the SDA working to identify and take action against other illegal constructions at the tourist hub. CNI
