In the capacity as the President of the Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC),the representative organization of displaced Kashmiri Pandits, I again request your goodself on behalf of various displaced Kashmiri Pandits who have been forced into a life of unimaginable hardship and distressed life. These displaced people are marginalized and forgotten in their own land, are dependent on a very meager monthly relief of Rs. 3,250 are woefully insufficient to meet their basic needs.
Sir, the circumstances under which these displaced Kashmiri Pandits live are nothing short of tragic. This paltry sum of Ruppees 3250 / per month fails to cover even the most fundamental expenses such as food, clothing, medicines, and transportation, let alone additional burdens like electricity charges and house rent.
As you know Sir, only about 5% of these displaced Kashmiri Pandits families have been provided with government accommodation, leaving the vast majority 95 % to fend for themselves. Many have been pushed into a cycle of debt, borrowing heavily just to survive.
Sir, thier situation is dire, as the relentless rise in the cost of living has further compounded their misery, making survival on the current relief amount virtually impossible. These families, who have already endured so much, find themselves in a state of perpetual despair. The lack of adequate healthcare, the inability to provide education for their children, and the daily struggle for basic sustenance are a stark testament to their suffering.
Sir, despite numerous appeals and desperate pleas for help and increasing of the said relief ,there has been no meaningful action to alleviate their distress. This prolonged neglect cannot continue. It is not just a matter of financial assistance only, but it is also matter of of human life, their survival and dignity of restoring hope, and of recognizing the immense sacrifices and suffering of this displaced Kashmiri Pandit community.
Sir therefore, on behalf of these beleaguered displaced relief holder families, I earnestly appeal to yourgoodself, to increase the monthly relief amount from Rs. 3,250 to at least Rs. 5,000 per family at the earliest to to pull their survival of life.
Sir, furthermore, we urge your goodself to consider providing special financial assistance to these families, low pensioners and other displaced KashmiriPandit community people, empowering them to rebuild their lives and perhaps start small businesses for their livelihoods that could restore some semblance of normalcy.
Sir, this is a call for immediate action, a plea for empathy, and a request for justice for those who have been ignored for far too long. We trust that your goodself, as a Hounrable Prime Minister of our country, who has always stood for the upliftment of the marginalized, will recognize the urgency of this appeal and take swift, decisive action.
Sir, we look forward to your positive response and hope that our cries for help will finally be heard and addressed with the compassion and urgency they deserve.
Yours sincerely,
