Jammu (CNI): All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary KC Venugopal on Sunday reviewed the organizational activities and election campaign of the party in Udhampur and Jammu Lok Sabha constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir. A spokesman said.
Venugopal reviewed the campaign in a virtual meeting with Jammu-based AICC coordinators Ravinder Sharma and Naresh Gupta, who shared grassroots views on the current political situation in the region, the spokesperson said.
Udhampur and Jammu Lok Sabha seats will go to polls on April 19 and April 26 respectively.
“Venugopal received input from various party units at various levels and with coalition partners on effective campaigning in favor of Chaudhary Lal Singh (Udhampur) and Raman Bhalla (Jammu),” the spokesperson said.
He said the AICC coordinators apprised him of the “successful” campaigning in full coordination and the “positive mood” of people in both the constituencies to bring change this time. Union Minister Jitendra Singh is eyeing a third win from Udhampur while his colleague Jagal Kishor is also looking to win for the third time in a row from Jammu constituency.
“The coordinators shared the basic opinion about the political situation that people are fed up with the BJP and its policies,” the spokesperson said. Sharma and Gupta also apprised the AICC leader of the views on the party’s manifesto and public response to the 25 guarantees in ‘Nayaputra’.(CNI)
