Srinagar, CNI: The weatherman on Thursday announced a period of rain showers and potential flash flood risks over the coming days in Jammu and Kashmir.

As per news agency Current News of India (CNI) Sharing details, independent weather forecaster Faizan Arif Keng stated that rain showers are expected to commence in various parts of Kashmir, with weather activity likely to intensify throughout the day. Most areas may experience one or two showers.

He added that intermittent rain showers are forecast for most areas. However, not all locations will necessarily receive rain each day. There will be intervals of sunshine between the showers. Additionally, there is a possibility of intense showers or cloudbursts, which could lead to flash floods in susceptible areas. Monsoon conditions will continue to impact parts of the Jammu region over the next four days, particularly during the early morning hours. The risk of flash floods from intense showers or cloudbursts remains high in certain vulnerable areas. Furthermore, there is an ongoing risk of falling stones and landslides along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and other roads. CNI
