Srinagar: Ajay Kumar Yadav, the inspector general of the CRPF (Srinagar Sector), stated on Tuesday that Srinagar is a peaceful district free of militancy.
”We observed LG Manoj Sinha directing female riders to Gujrat from Lal Chowk today. “Our women cops are participating with their counterparts in counter-insurgency operations, airport security, road opening parties (RoPs), jail security, and other sensitive operations.” Yadav gave the statement to reporters on the sidelines of the event that marked the departure of the women CRPF bikers from Srinagar to Gujrat.
IG CRPF further said that Kashmiri women can join the force in any category. He said that the event of bike rally is a sign of women power and it sends a message that women can achieve anything they wish. “This is a sign of women empowerment.
