Kashmir’s Tulip Garden Thrown Open For Visitors

Srinagar, 19 March (CNI) : Asia’s largest tulip garden, which has about 1.5 million tulips of more than 68 varieties are in bloom in its lap, below the Zabarwan Hills in the summer capital, Srinagar thrown open to visitors on Sunday, marking the beginning of new tourism season in the Valley.

According to Current News of India (CNI), The Tulip Garden in the backdrop of mighty Zabarwan range of mountains, was thrown open for public, including tourists and local people visited the garden on the first day, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attends the opening ceremony as Chief guest.

With spring on, the tulip garden located below the Zabarwan Hills and overlooking the world-famous Dal Lake, is looking no less than a floral wonderland.

The tulip garden has become extremely famous to people across India. A lot of travellers make plans to visit the valley during the tulip bloom. This year, the floriculture department has planted four other imported varieties of flowers to make the garden look more colourful.

Notable, Traffic Police Srinagar on Saturday said that they are anticipating a huge rush of locals and tourists in view of the opening of Asia’s largest Tulip Garden and have decided to allow only one-way traffic till 26th march to avoid any inconvenience to visitors.

It is expected that a large number of tourists and local populace will throng to Tulip Garden and other gardens in its vicinity. Due to the expected rush of people, there are chances of congestion, and for the convenience of people and to avoid slow movement, One-Way traffic shall be regulated initially w.e.f. 19-03-2023 till 26-03-2023,they added.
