Baramulla, 31 May (CNI) : Baramulla Police arrested a drug smuggler and recovered 40 grams of contraband Charas like substance from his possession at main market Tangmarg area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
As per the police statement, Police under the supervision of Imtiaz Ahmed-JKPS, SDPO Tangmarg assisted by Inspr Tawseef Habib, SHO PS Tangmarg arrested a Drug smuggler namely Latief Ahmad Mir S/O Gh Ahmad Mir R/O Nadirgund Kahipora Tangmarg during naka checking at Main Market Tangmarg who was coming from Qazipora towards Tangmarg and upon seeing the naka party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During his personal search 40 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately.
Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Tangmarg and investigations set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.(CNI)
